🎁 Christmas Eve 🎁

When the class is quiet, not a creature is stirring and Santa sneaks in to leave presents under the tree. When it gets too loud, Santa dashes back up the chimney! If it stays loud, the fire burns low and the tree lights dim.

Class goal: Fill the tree with all nine presents before the lesson ends!

How Christmas Eve works

1. Hang the stockings

Choose a lesson length, press Hang the Stockings, and allow the microphone. The monitor listens for a moment to learn how your room sounds when it is calm.

2. Quiet lets Santa in

While the room stays calm, Santa tiptoes in and leaves nine presents under the tree one by one, the stockings fill up and the cookies disappear.

3. Noise scares Santa off

Too much chatter sends Santa dashing back up the chimney, and if it stays loud the fire burns low and the tree lights dim. Tip: read the first lines of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas aloud and challenge the class to be quieter than a mouse.

Christmas Eve questions

Is Christmas Eve free to use?

expand_more

Christmas Eve is a Pro theme. Lifetime Pro is a one-time $20 payment that unlocks every theme, unlimited session time, and priority support. You can try the monitor for free first with the Quiet Jungle, Dino Valley, Hush Safari, Calm Aquarium, Traffic Lights, Focus Mode, and Bouncy Balls themes.

Can the class lose progress in Christmas Eve?

expand_more

No: a present under the tree stays there. Noise only sends Santa back up the chimney and lets the fire burn low for a while, and both recover once the room settles, so the class can always finish filling the tree.

What age group is Christmas Eve best for?

expand_more

Christmas Eve is a favorite from preschool through grade 3 in the weeks before winter break. The idea that Santa only comes to a quiet house is one every young child already knows.

The Christmas Eve scene isn't reacting to sound. What should I check?

Your computer is probably listening to the wrong microphone. Interactive whiteboards often take over as the default mic when they're connected. During a session, open the settings (the tune icon in the top right) and pick your computer's built-in microphone. The choice is remembered for future sessions.
