How Butterfly Garden works
1. Wake the garden
Choose a lesson length, press Wake the Garden, and allow the microphone. The monitor listens for a moment to learn how your room sounds when it is calm.
2. Quiet raises butterflies
While the class works quietly, caterpillars hatch and munch, chrysalises ripen, and butterflies climb out one by one until nine of them fill the meadow.
3. Loud stills the garden
Sustained noise brings the garden to a standstill, and if it keeps up the butterflies hide away. Tip: pair it with a life-cycle science unit and let the class name each butterfly that emerges.
