πŸ¦‡ Moonlit Bats πŸ¦‡

When the class is quiet, the bats fly home across the full moon and hang upside down in their cozy cave. When it gets too loud, the bats get startled and flutter back out into the night!

Class goal: Bring all nine bats home to the cave before the lesson ends!

How Moonlit Bats works

1. Take off

Choose a lesson length, press Fly Home, and allow the microphone. The monitor listens for a moment to learn how your room sounds when it is calm.

2. Calm brings the bats home

While the class is quiet, nine bats glide across the full moon toward their cave and hang upside down from the ceiling one by one, wings folded, ready to snooze.

3. Noise startles the colony

Too much noise startles the bats: they wake up, flap hard and flutter back out into the night sky. Tip: tell the class that real bats find their way with sound, so a noisy room is a confusing room for a bat.

Moonlit Bats questions

Is Moonlit Bats free to use?

expand_more

Moonlit Bats is a Pro theme. Lifetime Pro is a one-time $20 payment that unlocks every theme, unlimited session time, and priority support. You can try the monitor for free first with the Quiet Jungle, Dino Valley, Traffic Lights, Focus Mode, and Bouncy Balls themes.

Can the class lose progress in Moonlit Bats?

expand_more

Yes: startled bats flutter back out of the cave, so a loud spell undoes part of the flight home. Calm brings them straight back in, and the whole colony can always be brought home again.

What age group is Moonlit Bats best for?

expand_more

Moonlit Bats suits kindergarten to about grade 6. Older classes like the night-sky look and the echolocation hook, which makes it an easy tie-in to science lessons about animals and sound.

The Moonlit Bats scene isn't reacting to sound. What should I check?

Your computer is probably listening to the wrong microphone. Interactive whiteboards often take over as the default mic when they're connected. During a session, open the settings (the tune icon in the top right) and pick your computer's built-in microphone. The choice is remembered for future sessions.
